Just Like Mommy
By Christa
I was on the bus with my toddler and infant sons. It was a long ride across town, and while I had hoped the nursing I gave the baby before we had left the house was going to tide him over, we still had at least 20 minutes left when he started his telltale creaking. So I picked him up out of the stroller and started to nurse him there on the bus. My oldest held up the doll he had brought along and said, "Mommy you have to feed baby Toby too." I explained to him that I wasn't going to nurse a doll on the bus. As I was repositioning the baby I heard giggles from the other passengers. I looked over and my oldest had lifted up his shirt and was trying to nurse his baby just like Mommy.
