A Baby Switch

In January 2005, we brought home our newest addition. Her name is Cecelia and we couldn't wait to show her around our new home. We got settled and Luke looked at her and said, "When are we going back to the hospital?" My husband and I couldn't figure out why he'd ask us to go back.
Matthew, our oldest son, was loving up on her and Luke chimed in again, "When are we taking her back to the hospital?" We finally asked why.
"Well, Mommy, this isn't what I asked for, I asked for a brother," he said. "Let's just take her back and get a little brother."
We had to explain to him that every baby is a gift from God and that she was ours forever. Both our sons can't get enough of their baby sister – now.
