Embarrassing Dance

By Christina Fitzwilliam

My husband and I have always enjoyed country western dancing. After our first daughter was born, we went out for an evening of two-stepping. I wore a backless little dress that required breast shields to be taped into place with special tape. I was breastfeeding so I also inserted a couple of breast pads. Later in the evening, as my husband and I were twirling around the floor, I noticed that we were getting a lot of attention. I was feeling pretty proud of ourselves that we still remembered all our "fancy" moves. When the song ended, we walked off the floor à only then did I realize that one of my breast shields and pads had fallen down and was sitting on my belly button. My breast and front of my dress were drenched in milk. Apparently, my leaking breasts had caused the tape to slip. I looked quite deformed! I was so embarrassed but my husband thought it was quite hysterical.
